Inspired by Isaiah 6 and the hymn “Holy, Holy, Holy,” this design depicts three seraphim surrounding the throne of God, drawing from Isaiah’s breathtaking vision of heavenly worship. With six wings, the seraphim cover their faces and feet in reverence while flying before the throne, overwhelmed by the holiness and majesty of the Lord.
Isaiah’s vision reminds us that God is infinitely holy, exalted above all creation, and worthy of unending worship. The seraphim cry to one another, “Holy, holy, holy is the LORD of hosts; the whole earth is full of his glory!” Their worship turns our attention away from ourselves and upward toward the One seated on the throne.
Part of The Armory’s In Hymn Alone Collection, this design brings together the imagery of Isaiah 6 and one of the Church’s great hymns, carrying an ancient confession that believers have sung for generations.
